Howard Johnson's Know Your States Menu

Know your states -- all 18 of them! This must have been a "collect all 50" deal. After I took these pictures, I erased the price we paid for this: $2! The copyright date for this 7" wheel is 1966.

We went on a lot of road trips when I was growing up, but rarely stayed or ate at a Howard Johnson's. They always had a wide variety of fun ice cream favors and I really liked the turquoise and orange color scheme (still do).

The back of this wheel has the kids' menu. Man, only 75¢ for a Miss Muffet Lunch. The menu has hand-lettered type, which is unusual.

​I wonder how how many kids ordered the fried clams? That seems like a recipe for car sickness to me.
